Né à Krefeld (en Allemagne) en 1954, il vit aujourd'hui partiellement à Gemünd et à Köln.
- De 1973 à 1984, études de lettres classiques, de philosophie et d'histoire de l'art à l'Université libre de Berlin
- De 1975 à 1984, études à l'Université des arts de Berlin dans la classe de Wolfgang Petrick

- Depuis 1981, expose ses œuvres (dessin, peinture, installation et photographie expérimentale)
